April 2025 Market Strategy
Investor derisking and fiscal flow seasonality might help the stock market to continue its bounce for a month or so. Beyond that, I remain unconvinced that we have seen the bottom of this bear market.

In my March 2025 Market Strategy, I continued my bearish stance, arguing that capitulation signals were not strong enough. It did not seem that markets had made progress in pricing in weaker growth. And sure enough, the S&P 500 dropped another 4% since then with a pretty nasty sell-off in between. Let’s check whether this has made this dip more buyable.
